With offices across the United States, Latin America, and Europe, we focus on creating technology that supports meaningful human interaction regardless of location. We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our Software Engineering team and contribute to the continued development of our mobile solutions.
Key outcomes
- Partner with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA specialists, and fellow engineers to research, design, implement, test, and deploy new product features.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the systems and components under your responsibility.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable development plans.
- Identify and resolve blockers, manage inter-team dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of assigned work.
- Contribute to the development of new features and ongoing improvements to existing functionality.
- Monitor application performance and proactively address potential issues before they impact users.
- Refactor and maintain the codebase to support long-term stability and ease of future development.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure code quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth within the team.
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to project planning and coordination efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience developing mobile applications, with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with Android development using Java and Kotlin.
- Strong aptitude for complex system design and architecture.
- Experience working within Scrum and Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in a technical leadership role.
- Background in backend API development.
