We are currently looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our team on a full-time basis in a hybrid capacity within the United States. In this role, you will work directly with enterprise clients to design sophisticated applications that address complex business challenges.
Key outcomes
- Design and develop advanced Android applications tailored for the financial services industry.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and fellow technologists to deploy high-quality software to enterprise and public app stores.
- Promote the use of robust software architecture and modern engineering best practices across our development teams.
- Translate complex requirements into elegant, functional technical solutions.
- Ensure the reliability, usability, and performance of our applications by addressing edge cases and optimizing code.
- Champion test-driven development to ensure the delivery of resilient and high-quality software.
- Analyze and resolve defects to continuously improve application performance.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience working with the Android SDK.
- A proven track record as a key contributor on at least two successful Android application projects.
- Experience publishing at least one sophisticated original Android application, either for a public app store or an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and deep familiarity with the Android ecosystem.
- Practical experience integrating remote data using REST and JSON.
- Experience working with third-party libraries and APIs.
- A solid understanding of the mobile landscape, including current trends, emerging technologies, and architectural patterns.
- Experience working within an Agile development environment.
- A college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. Please note that your specific placement within this range will depend on your relevant skills and experience. Base salary is just one part of our total compensation package, and you may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on both company and individual performance. We also offer the benefit of a hybrid work environment.
