What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Information Technology division on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will bridge the gap between raw data and business strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, design robust data structures, and implement the technical solutions necessary to drive data-informed decision-making across our organization.

What will you do?

• Build and manage our Data Lake infrastructure, including S3 MinIO and Trino, to ensure reliable data access.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated ETL and ELT pipelines, along with data transformation tools, to create high-quality data assets.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and data users to design optimized data models and marts that facilitate effective reporting and operational efficiency.

To succeed in this position, you should have a strong background in data engineering and a deep curiosity for how data influences product performance. We are looking for someone who brings the following skills and qualities:

• Expert-level knowledge of SQL and strong proficiency in Python, particularly with pandas, visualization, and machine learning libraries.
• Proven experience in building Big Data processing systems and Data Lakes.
• A solid understanding of mathematical statistics and the principles of CI/CD within data processing workflows.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Bonus points if you have practical experience with Apache Spark for batch or real-time processing and familiarity with stream-processing solutions like Flink.
