At AcuityMD, we are on a mission to modernize how medical technologies reach the patients who need them most. Every year, the FDA approves thousands of new medical devices, and our platform acts as the bridge that helps MedTech companies navigate this complex landscape. By providing deep insights into how products are used and where physicians can better serve their patients, we are helping to improve care outcomes across the board. We are proud to be backed by industry-leading investors like Benchmark, Redpoint, and Ajax Health, and we are looking for passionate individuals to join our collaborative, mission-driven team.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, you will be a vital part of our data platform, where you will build and refine the assets that power our MedTech-specific modules. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager for Data and work alongside our product and engineering teams to turn raw, complex data into simple, scalable solutions. Your work will directly influence our product roadmap and help our customers make data-driven decisions that ultimately save lives.
A day in the life
- You will design and model new data structures while improving our existing data products to ensure they remain high-quality and reliable for our business consumers.
- You will build and maintain robust data pipelines, integrating information from multiple sources to create documented, usable assets.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define success criteria and communicate technical insights that help everyone understand the story behind the data.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in data engineering or analytical roles. You have a deep technical toolkit and a passion for building scalable systems. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages like Python.
- Proven expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and version control practices.
- Hands-on experience with dbt and data orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or Data Factory.
- The ability to explain complex technical concepts and code clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
- An eligible work permit for either the USA or Canada.
While not required, familiarity with the GCP suite or experience in the healthcare domain is a major plus.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally. When you join AcuityMD, you gain access to a culture that values mentorship, inclusion, and growth. Our benefits include:
- Remote work flexibility, supported by a $1000 home office stipend and WiFi reimbursement.
- Unlimited vacation to ensure you have the time you need to recharge.
- Comprehensive health coverage, including 100% paid health and dental plans for employees.
- A dedicated learning budget to help you continue up-skilling in your career.
- Generous, fully-paid parental leave of 6 to 12 weeks.
- Opportunities to connect in person through our optional team retreats.
- The chance to be part of a high-growth startup with competitive compensation and equity upside.
