Analytics Engineer at Zepz

We are a fully distributed, growth-stage organization with a team of over 1,000 people working from all corners of the globe. We are currently looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis.

Key outcomes

• Develop, test, and implement robust data models using DBT to ensure high data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and deliver effective analytical solutions.
• Establish and promote best practices for data consumption, ensuring that stakeholders understand data quality and interpretation.
• Optimize existing data processes and pipelines to enhance efficiency and minimize latency.
• Identify and execute opportunities to reduce complexity across our data models and data warehouse.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues to maintain high standards of reliability.
• Ensure all data outputs are scalable, automated, tested, and thoroughly documented.

Requirements

• Proven experience using DBT to design and implement complex data models.
• Extensive experience with modern data warehouse platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redshift.
• Comfortable working with modern software engineering tools, including command-line interfaces, version control, testing, and code reviews.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, DBT Cloud, or Fivetran.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Mode, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to read and extract data transformation logic from Python scripts.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on translating technical solutions into commercial impact.
• Fluency in English and the ability to work effectively within a distributed, cross-time-zone team.
