At Ordergroove, we are redefining the landscape of Relationship Commerce by helping major retailers like L'Oreal, Dollar Shave Club, and BarkBox build lasting, recurring revenue streams. Our platform currently supports subscriptions for over 11 percent of adult Americans, and we are looking for a talented individual to help us scale our data infrastructure. If you are passionate about innovation and want to build meaningful solutions from the ground up, you will find a home here among a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and diverse perspectives.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a foundational position where you will take the lead in defining our analytics engineering standards. You will have the autonomy to shape our data strategy, influence best practices across the company, and ensure that our data remains a high-quality asset for all stakeholders. We are looking for someone with significant experience who is eager to take ownership of our data modeling and pipeline architecture.
What will you do?
- Architect and maintain core data models using SQL and dbt to ensure our business metrics are accurate, performant, and consistent.
- Develop and manage robust data pipelines using Airflow and Python to streamline how we ingest and transform data.
- Partner with product managers and engineers to provide seamless data access, build self-service analytics tools, and maintain high standards for data quality across the organization.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a proactive communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for various stakeholders. We value candidates who are impact-oriented and comfortable driving projects independently. Your technical toolkit should include:
- At least 3 years of experience in an analytics or data engineering role within a data-driven environment.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling, including a deep understanding of normalization and warehouse design in BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with dbt for transformation and Python for workflow orchestration and automation.
- A strong grasp of data governance, quality monitoring, and CI/CD best practices.
- Fluency in English.
What's in it for you?
We believe in empowering our team with flexibility and the tools they need to succeed. The total compensation for this position is between $120,000 and $140,000, plus stock options. In addition to competitive pay, you will enjoy:
- A fully remote work environment with flexible hours and a flexible work location.
- Comprehensive paid time off.
- An annual budget dedicated to your professional development.
