Role at a glance
We are looking for a mid-level Analytics Engineer II to join our team in China. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a vital role in building the data infrastructure that powers our global logistics operations. You will be at the heart of our business, creating the abstractions that define the digital state of our world and fueling the insights that drive our growth.
Your impact
- Architect, build, and maintain high-performance data models and pipelines that support self-service analytics, flexible querying, and advanced machine learning initiatives.
- Act as a subject-matter expert and data steward, bridging the gap between data producers and consumers to ensure consistent, trustworthy outcomes.
- Define and evangelize development standards for data modeling while providing feedback to improve our internal tooling, security, and data observability.
What you'll need
We are looking for a self-motivated engineer who is passionate about building scalable, impactful data solutions. You should be comfortable working in a complex, regulated environment and possess the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in the data curation lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, and modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in writing clean, scalable SQL and extensive experience with modern data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Significant hands-on experience with dbt and Spark-based data pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go, with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- A deep understanding of schema design and data modeling strategies, such as dimensional modeling or data vault.
- Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our global team.
