The opportunity

We are looking for a creative and technically minded Analytics Engineer II to join our team in China. Data is the heartbeat of our business, and in this role, you will be responsible for solving complex problems related to global supply chains, transportation, and logistics. You will sit at the intersection of our data producers and consumers, building the abstractions that represent the digital state of the world. Your work will not only fuel our internal analytics and machine learning models but will also directly power the customer-facing products that our users rely on every day.

A day in the life

• Architect, build, and maintain performant data models and pipelines that support self-service data consumption, flexible querying, and advanced analytical use cases.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to define successful outcomes, serving as a subject matter expert for your specific business and technology domains.
• Drive high standards for data quality by transforming complex business logic into consistent, trustworthy datasets while providing feedback to our platform team on tooling and security.

Who you are

You are a self-motivated professional with a deep analytical mindset and a passion for building scalable data solutions. You thrive in complex environments and have the technical expertise to navigate the modern data stack effectively. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

• At least 3 years of experience in the data curation lifecycle, ideally within a modern technology company.
• Advanced proficiency in writing clean, scalable SQL and significant experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Extensive knowledge of schema design and data modeling strategies, such as dimensional modeling or data vault.
• Significant experience using dbt and Spark-based data pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• A professional command of the English language.
• A compliance-first attitude, ensuring our data practices meet the high standards required in our heavily regulated industry.
