The role
We are looking for a mid-level Analytics Engineer II to join our Data Engineering and Analytics organization. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in either Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY, requiring you to work from the office three days per week. In this role, you will act as a force multiplier, scaling our analytic products and decision frameworks to help our business make data-informed choices with greater speed and precision.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and manage cross-functional analytical data models, metric frameworks, and self-serve dashboards that empower teams across the company.
- Build deep expertise within specific business domains to anticipate and address the unique data needs of those verticals.
- Collaborate across departments by translating complex requirements between business, product, and engineering teams.
Skills and experience
We are looking for candidates who possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence within a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable working with the following:
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level SQL skills and experience with programming languages like Python or Java, as well as configuration languages like YAML.
- Data Platforms: Experience transforming large-scale data using modern cloud platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, and SparkSQL.
- Tooling: Proficiency in building pipelines with orchestration tools like Airflow and dbt, alongside experience creating dashboards in tools like Tableau or Looker.
- Collaboration: A passion for working with non-technical stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions.
Compensation and benefits
