AI/ML Engineer at Coda

Our mission is centered on Coda AI, an intelligent assistant that acts as a writing partner, knowledge manager, and task coordinator to streamline complex workflows. Backed by top venture capitalists, we have built a world-class team across the United States, and we are now looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to help us elevate our product to the next level.

Key outcomes

• Develop innovative solutions by identifying and prioritizing user problems, determining the best approach between internal development and third-party integrations.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to embed AI capabilities across all Coda surfaces.
• Operate effectively within a distributed environment, with the flexibility to work from our offices or remotely.
• Ensure a high-quality experience for our customers through dedicated support and participation in engineering on-call rotations for production issues.
• Leverage LLMs and custom model training to assist users with content creation, data summarization, and the generation of applications from natural language prompts.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent practical background.
• A minimum of 3 years of focused experience in machine learning, specifically involving natural language processing and the training of large language models.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with major machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of model development, including data collection, training, evaluation, and production deployment.
• Strong motivation and a proven track record of thriving in challenging technical environments.
• Professional fluency in English.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $250,000, which is determined based on the complexity of the role and your individual expertise. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
