What you bring

We are seeking a Senior AI Performance Optimization Engineer to join us on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States or the United Kingdom. You will play a pivotal role in our engineering efforts, focusing on high-performance computing and compiler development. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Developing the Thunder compiler to push the boundaries of current machine learning frameworks.
• Executing performance-oriented model optimizations for both distributed training and inference workflows.
• Creating highly optimized kernels using CUDA to ensure maximum efficiency for specific use cases.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess a deep technical background in Machine Learning and AI Development. We look for candidates who have extensive experience with frameworks like PyTorch, Jax, or TensorFlow. You should be comfortable with compiler development and have a strong grasp of distributed training and optimization techniques. We value candidates who hold a degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, though a Master's or PhD is preferred. Beyond your technical skills, you should be a strong communicator who is passionate about contributing to open-source projects and collaborating effectively within a high-impact team.
