The role

We are seeking an experienced AI ML NLP Engineer to join our team at the Assistant Vice President or Vice President level. This is a full-time, hybrid position that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will operate at an executive level, collaborating closely with our product management, data engineering, and software engineering teams to design and deploy high-impact machine learning solutions.

Core responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy robust AI and machine learning models that solve complex business problems throughout the entire production lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI to integrate machine learning workflows into our core platforms.
• Improve our MLOps pipelines and procedures to ensure our production environments remain efficient, maintainable, and highly scalable.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess a deep technical background and a passion for building production-grade AI systems. We require the following qualifications:

• An advanced degree, such as a Master’s or PhD, in a quantitative field like computer science, mathematics, or AI/ML.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience for the AVP level, or 8+ years for the VP level, within the AI, ML, or data science fields.
• Proven expertise in building and deploying models in production, specifically within the realms of Natural Language Processing and Generative AI or Large Language Models.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with industry-standard frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Practical experience with AWS infrastructure and a solid understanding of software development best practices, including Git, CI/CD, and testing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive base salary range of $130,000 to $220,000, which is determined based on your experience and the specific level of the role. Our total compensation package also includes equity for all full-time employees and an annual performance bonus.
