The role
We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site position located in the DC Metro area, where you will play a pivotal role in designing and deploying machine learning models that serve as the backbone for our high-impact digital solutions. Please note that this role requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance, as the work must be conducted within the continental United States.
Core responsibilities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, and product owners to integrate machine learning models into larger, value-driven pipelines.
- Design, train, and maintain robust machine learning models with a focus on NLP, computer vision, and time series analysis.
- Apply modern software engineering practices, including DevOps and agile methodologies, to ensure our systems remain scalable and efficient.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in both software development and data science. We look for candidates who have:
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the field.
- Proficiency in Python and practical experience with frameworks like PyTorch.
- Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- A solid understanding of data processing frameworks, specifically Apache Spark.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- A willingness to obtain a Security+ certification within your first 90 days.
- Bonus points if you have experience with TypeScript, LLMs, or agentic workflows.
Compensation and benefits
