AI Infrastructure Engineer, ML Data Platform at Scale AI

What is this role?

We are seeking a Mid-Level AI Infrastructure Engineer to join our ML Data Platform team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and scaling the data platforms that power our research and development initiatives. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, bridging the gap between platform engineering and machine learning research to build robust tools that improve data quality and optimize infrastructure costs.

What will you do?

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data platforms tailored to support diverse R&D and applied machine learning workloads.
• Partner closely with machine learning researchers, product engineers, and operations teams to ensure our data infrastructure aligns with our broader organizational goals.
• Build intuitive data access tools and participate in our on-call rotation to maintain the high availability of our critical services.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have at least two years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed data systems for machine learning. You should be proficient in modern data platform technologies and comfortable working with containerization and deployment tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker. We value strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. While not required, experience with tools like PyTorch, Huggingface, MongoDB, Postgres, Redis, and Airflow will certainly help you hit the ground running.
