Are you ready to help us build the largest AI-enabled fintech platform for the healthcare industry? At Nelly, we are transforming medical practice management by replacing outdated administrative workflows with smart, digital automation. We have recently secured 50 million euros in Series B funding from top-tier investors, and we are now looking for an ambitious Senior AI Engineer to join our team in Berlin to help us scale our impact across Europe.
What you bring
As a key member of our newly formed AI division, you will be one of the pioneers shaping our technical future. You will work in a small, agile environment where you can bridge the gap between theoretical machine learning and practical, scalable production systems. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Berlin office, where you will focus on the following responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing modern data pipelines to orchestrate assets for our AI solutions, moving quickly from experimental prototypes to production-ready platforms.
- Building and deploying agentic systems into production by utilizing advanced techniques like RAG, ReAct, and Knowledge Graphs.
- Selecting and integrating the best AI tools and frameworks to ensure our systems remain efficient, compliant, and highly scalable.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong blend of technical expertise and a proactive, creative mindset. You should have at least five years of experience as a software engineer, with at least two of those years specifically focused on AI, machine learning, and data engineering. Proficiency in Python and data frameworks like pandas is essential, as is experience with cloud-native development, preferably on AWS. You should also be comfortable using modern orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect. Beyond your technical skills, we value candidates who are independent problem-solvers, possess strong communication skills, and are eager to collaborate across functions to drive meaningful product outcomes in the healthcare and fintech space. Fluency in English is required for this role.
What we offer
We provide a competitive salary and a supportive environment designed to help you thrive both professionally and personally. Our benefits package includes the following:
- A generous budget dedicated to your learning and development.
- Flexible working hours and a hybrid work model.
- Paid time off and the possibility of a four-week workation.
- Comprehensive wellness programs, including an Urban Sports membership.
