We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. At Weave, we are on a mission to change how therapeutic knowledge is shared and utilized. We provide human experts with advanced AI tools to help bring life-saving drugs to patients more quickly, safely, and affordably. Our platform acts as an AI workbench for the entire therapeutic lifecycle, helping to streamline regulatory submissions and data management. This is a hybrid role based in the United States, and we are looking for someone who values pragmatic, reliable engineering over flashy trends.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production-ready backend code specifically for our LLM-facing service components.
- Create robust automation tools to test and validate code that integrates LLMs.
- Design, validate, and prove the effectiveness of AI-driven solutions using real-world data and clear performance metrics.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who is a scientist by disposition and possesses a strong background in the biomedical field. You should have extensive experience deploying LLMs into production environments, ideally through direct interaction rather than relying on abstraction libraries. We value a history of working in early-stage, product-focused startups with teams of fewer than 50 people. You should be a pragmatic, analytical thinker who can move quickly without sacrificing quality. While not required, experience with web services, frameworks, ORMs, and SQL is considered a significant plus.
What we offer
