As an AI Engineer at Beekeeper, you will collaborate closely with one of our dedicated product squads to design, implement, and deploy AI solutions for our customers. Working alongside our talented technical and product teams, you will have ample opportunities to grow your career.

Your responsibilities

• Integrate cutting-edge AI models into our products
• Deploy and maintain AI solutions in production
• Collaborate with product squads to add AI-driven features
• Develop and automate MLOps pipelines and infrastructure
• Monitor and enhance the quality and cost effectiveness of our AI services
• Ensure AI systems are fair, ethical, and unbiased

 What we look for in you

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with 3+ years in backend development
• Strong programming skills in Python and fluency in Java
• Solid understanding of Generative AI and Deep Learning models (classification, regression, clustering)
• Solid understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Experience using Cloud AI tool sets Like AWS Bedrock
• Hands-on experience in Prompt Engineering
• Proven ability to rapidly prototype and iterate on deploying Generative AI solutions
• Awareness and Knowledge of emerging technologies within the AI space (e.g. Model Context Protocol)
• Knowledge and Experience in techniques to deliver high quality output from Large Language Models
• Experience in deploying agents for real world applications
• A high degree of pragmatism, focus on shipping fast and able to adapt to changing business needs that go hand in hand with the speed of innovation in AI

Bonus points

• Experience shipping machine learning models to production
• Familiarity with MLOps pipelines and infrastructure for LLMs in the cloud
• Open source contributions in this space
• Relevant scientific publications in AI/ML

 Our Technology Stack

• Cloud Infrastructure as Code: We operate on AWS and GCP across multiple regions and we manage our infrastructure using Spacelift and Terraform.
• Container Orchestration: Our services run in containers using Kubernetes (EKS and GKE) managed with Helm and FluxCD.
• Backend Services: Predominantly built in Java using Quarkus, Python, with a focus on high performance and scalability. We use Apache Kafka as an event bus.
• Data Stores: We utilize PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MySQL, and Elasticsearch.
• Monitoring and Logging: Implemented through Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
