We are building advanced reasoning systems that push the boundaries of what AI agents can achieve. As a Senior AI Engineer focused on reasoning, you will design and scale the core infrastructure that enables agents to plan, search, and learn at inference time.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate large-scale distributed reinforcement learning systems that support complex agent training.
- Develop frameworks and tooling that improve model reasoning through techniques such as tree search and planning.
- Create simulation environments and harnesses that let agents interact with realistic tasks and evaluate their performance.
- Own components across the full stack, from low-level systems code to high-level training pipelines.
Must-haves
- Senior-level experience building and scaling reinforcement learning systems.
- Hands-on work designing and implementing distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, JAX, and Rust.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Bay Area (San Francisco or Palo Alto) or relocate there.
Nice-to-haves
- Active engagement with the latest research in reinforcement learning and inference-time compute methods.
Benefits
- Annual salary range of $180,000 - $440,000 USD.
