We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer (senior or mid-senior level) who wants to make an impact in a growing SaaS-based company. You will work with a team of experienced developers, taking care of several applications and improving their speed, usability, and stability.
The team primarily communicates in Czech/Slovak, but you must be able to converse with other teams in English. For onboarding, you will receive a set of training materials and descriptions of the technologies we use and will participate in a Keboola onboarding program.
What we do and you'll do
Improve, maintain, and extend our existing AI and machine learning features.Brainstorm and design new AI-driven features in collaboration with our product team.Develop, train, optimize, and fine-tune machine learning models, including large language models (LLMs).Enhance the quality of our AI pipelines and codebase.Test machine learning models and codeProvide code reviews for other team members.Actively participate in the design of AI-related technical features (participate in design documentation and RFCs).Share knowledge and experience in AI technologies and techniques with individuals outside your team.Assist your closest peers in understanding and implementing AI best practices.What do we use
Python and frameworks/tools such as FastAPI, NumPy, and Pydantic.MySQL and ElasticSearch for structured data storage; Snowflake or BigQuery for big data and analytics.Docker for running our apps and deploying machine learning models.Cloud services from GCP, Azure, and AWS for AI model training and deployment.Terraform for managing cloud resources, including those used in machine learning workflows.GitHub for storing code and Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for running our build, test, and deploy pipelines.OpenAPI and Apiary for API specifications, including those for AI services.Scrum best practices for organizing our work and managing AI project lifecycles.What we look for and what are the skills you need to have
3+ years of experience as a Python engineer with a focus on AI/ML, running production services.Experience with machine learning concepts, including model development, training, deployment, and monitoring.Familiarity with large codebases and experience with refactoringAbility to build and deploy AI models as web services (REST or GraphQL APIs).Experience in fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) for specific tasks and domains.Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and related techniques.Expertise in prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.Understanding of best practices for AI and machine learning in production environments (e.g., model versioning, performance optimization).Awareness of Twelve-Factor App principles and how they apply to AI and machine learning services.A technical understanding of AI/ML concepts and how they fit into the "big picture."And also basic soft skills like:
