The opportunity
We are looking for an Advanced Frontend Engineer to join the Escudo team, the group that owns and evolves Feedzai’s Design System. Rather than shipping one-off features, you will create the reusable components and tooling that every other product squad relies on. Your work will set the visual and technical standard for the entire platform, letting colleagues focus on solving complex financial-risk problems instead of rebuilding interfaces from scratch.
A day in the life
- You will architect and code highly reusable React components that meet strict accessibility and performance requirements, then publish them so they become the default building blocks across all Feedzai products.
- You will partner closely with Product Designers to turn brand guidelines and interaction patterns into production-ready code, ensuring every screen feels consistent and polished.
- You will write clear documentation in Storybook, create supporting utilities, and act as an internal consultant so other teams can adopt the system quickly and confidently.
Who you are
You hold a BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related technical field and bring at least four years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript, advanced CSS techniques, and React. TypeScript is second nature to you, and you have already helped shape or significantly contributed to a design system rather than simply consuming one. You understand WCAG guidelines, write meaningful tests with Jest and React Testing Library, and enjoy using Storybook to tell the story of each component. A service mindset drives you; you take pride in removing friction for fellow developers and continuously improving the platform you support. English is the working language of our remote-first team, and we welcome candidates located anywhere.
