The role
We are seeking a Senior Actuary Platform Developer Associate to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. In this position, you will serve as a vital partner to our actuarial and IT data teams, providing the technical expertise necessary to manage the lifecycle and development of our Actuarial Modeling and Data Management platform. This is an ideal role for an experienced professional who thrives on translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Actuarial Modeling Platform, including managing data lifecycle processes and ensuring optimal system performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with actuarial model development and valuation teams to define technical requirements, support model analytics, and verify solutions.
- Provide comprehensive operational support by managing incident responses, maintaining application run books, and facilitating training for platform users.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in data engineering and a passion for technical problem-solving. We require the following qualifications:
- At least 8 years of professional experience in data integration and data management.
- Proficiency in Azure cloud environments, specifically Azure Data Factory and Azure HD.
- Hands-on experience with PowerBI and Gitlab.
- Proven development skills across at least two programming languages, with a general understanding of SAS.
- An undergraduate degree in an IT-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and documentation skills, with the ability to lead small projects independently.
Compensation and benefits
