About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Acquisition Support Specialist for a full-time, on-site position. In this role, you will serve as a key advisor to our program and project managers, ensuring that our acquisition strategies, budgets, and technical execution align with the high standards of our defense and aerospace projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on acquisition strategies, scheduling, and contracting while managing the execution of complex program budgets.
- Draft and coordinate essential program planning documents in accordance with the DoDI 5000.02 Acquisition Framework and relevant Department of Defense policies.
- Conduct technical and programmatic assessments of contractor milestones to identify potential risks and ensure that all mission requirements are successfully met.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related discipline.
- At least fourteen years of experience in government weapon systems acquisitions, program management, or contracts management within the Department of Defense.
- Deep familiarity with the Major Capability Acquisition System, the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System, and the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution process.
- An active security background investigation, such as a T5 or SSBI, with current SCI eligibility.
- A willingness to undergo a polygraph examination and be nominated for access to Special Access Programs.
- The ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in business or technical management, professional certifications like the PMI PMP, and specific experience in National Security Space or Space Control missions.

Compensation and Benefits
The target salary range for this position is $170,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on your specific experience and qualifications.
