We use autonomous aircraft to deliver life-saving medical supplies across multiple continents, helping to decarbonize delivery and reduce road congestion. With over 200,000 deliveries completed, we are now scaling our operations to reach 1 million deliveries in the coming years. We are looking for a Senior Acoustic Perception Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in the United States and help us advance the perception capabilities that allow our aircraft to navigate complex environments safely.
What you'll be doing
- You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to select and calibrate next-generation sensor configurations for our autonomous fleet.
- You will design and implement robust perception systems that enable our aircraft to detect and avoid obstacles like power lines, radio towers, and other aircraft.
- You will develop software infrastructure and data pipelines that leverage our large-scale fleet data to drive continuous algorithmic improvements and safety enhancements.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should possess deep technical expertise and a passion for building real-world perception systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++, alongside a solid foundation in linear algebra, statistics, and optimization.
- Expertise in at least one core area, such as robot perception, machine learning, signal processing, or acoustic beamforming.
- Proven experience developing solutions for Sound Event Localization and Detection, noise reduction, or sound event classification.
- The ability to build reproducible data pipelines and a strong understanding of modern machine learning theory.
- Professional fluency in English.
What you'll get
The starting cash salary range for this position is $180,000 to $225,000, depending on your specific experience, skills, and location. In addition to your base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being and long-term success:
