The role
We are seeking a Senior Accounting and HR Operations Specialist to join our team in Spain on a full-time, on-site basis. This position is designed for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. You will be responsible for balancing meticulous financial oversight with the broader operational needs of our growing organization.
Core responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and the accurate execution of month-end and year-end financial closures.
- Oversee tax compliance and monthly VAT reporting while providing essential support for payroll processing to ensure our team is compensated accurately and on time.
- Lead HR administrative operations, including the creation of contracts and certificates, while managing HR systems and providing high-level executive administrative support for scheduling, documentation, and logistics.
Skills and experience
- A formal educational background, such as an apprenticeship or a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- At least three years of professional experience in accounting or financial roles, ideally within dynamic or startup settings.
- Technical proficiency with accounting software like DATEV and SAP, alongside intermediate Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
- Fluency in both English and German is required to succeed in our international environment.
- A high level of analytical acumen, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial and HR data.
