We are looking for a passionate professional to join our team as a Northern Sales Representative, helping us establish our brand and mission across the Pacific Northwest and the northern United States. The opportunity
As our Northern Sales Representative, you will serve as the primary advocate for Gowan SeedTech in your region, with a specific focus on the onion market. You will play a vital role in building our reputation from the ground up, identifying new market opportunities, and fostering deep relationships with seed breeders, dealers, and agronomists. Reporting directly to our Business Manager, you will have the autonomy to manage your own territory, oversee your regional budget, and influence our product development pipeline by identifying unmet needs in the field.
A day in the life
- You will cultivate strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including seed breeders, dealers, and influential growers, to build trust and increase the adoption of our seed treatment solutions.
- You will manage the full sales cycle for your region, which includes developing strategic plans to grow our market share, educating customers on our product benefits, and acting as the main point of contact for all regional inquiries.
- You will lead hands-on product demonstrations and field trials to showcase the efficacy of our treatments, while also representing our brand at industry conferences and university field days.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of field experience in the crop protection industry and a deep familiarity with the vegetable seed sector. You possess a strong background in cropping systems such as onions, leafy greens, brassicas, and cucurbits, particularly within the Columbia Basin. You hold a Bachelor’s degree in a field like Ag Economics, Plant Science, or Agronomy, and you are comfortable translating complex scientific data into practical advice for your clients. Above all, you are a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and possesses the communication skills necessary to bridge the gap between technical innovation and grower needs.
