Motion already has a lead: tasks, projects, docs, meetings, calendars, and communication all live in one place, making us best equipped to swap out human work for AI technology improves. Integrating all these systems seamlessly is incredibly hard, but we're uniquely capable of doing this because we are one of the most operationally excellent companies in the world.

Compensation: $60k-$110k base salary, $120k-$220k on-target earnings, plus equity compensation

About the Hiring Manager

Hi, I’m Antonio, Motion’s Head of Sales. Two things you should know if you want to work with me: I’m a passionate, lifelong sales professional, and I love coaching people. My career has been built on operationalizing sales excellence at companies like Salesforce, and I take pride in marrying the art and science of selling in a way that’s authentic to my personality and passions. I thrive when working with people who are equally passionate about perfecting their craft.

For me, closing a deal isn’t the exciting part—it’s simply the natural result of a process done well. What excites me is earlier in the cycle, when we uncover critical business problems customers didn’t realize they had—or were hesitant to admit—and show them a solution. I get fired up when we deliver a demo so spot-on that their faces light up with relief and excitement, knowing we can solve their challenges.

Coaching is central to my leadership style. Outside of work, I coach athletes in disciplines like wrestling, rugby, weightlifting, and indoor cycling. I love coaching because it allows me to partner with motivated individuals who:

  • Want more from themselves and set clear goals.

  • Understand that success isn’t given—it’s earned through hard work and discipline.

  • Embrace continuous improvement, staying open to coaching and holding themselves accountable for growth.

My coaching approach is to meet you where you are. While we may share a vision for where you want to go, my first step is understanding your current starting point. From there, I break down concepts in ways that are relatable and actionable. My job as a coach is to communicate in a way that resonates with you—ensuring you understand the intention behind the feedback, feel empowered to act on it, and build habits for long-term success.

What I can’t coach: drive. I can’t teach you to want more for yourself. I can’t convince you to push past limiting beliefs. That desire has to come from within. If it’s there, I’ll help you take your execution and career to the next level.

The Role

I’m hiring an Account Executive who thrives in a fast-paced, highly autonomous environment alongside a team of high-performers. As one of our early sales hires, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how we sell, to whom we sell, and the strategies we use to scale. We’ve built an incredible product that our customers love, and now it’s time to bring it to more teams.

The goal for someone who crushes it in this role: within 3 months, you’ll own a full sales pipeline and close deals independently. Within a year, you’ll be helping to define our sales playbook and mentoring new team members as we scale. If you’re scrappy, love solving problems, and are ready to build something big, this is the role for you.

  • You can take ownership of projects and lead them to completion while dealing with ambiguity and finding the right balance between speed and quality. You don’t need every detail and edge case spelled out for you because you can figure out the goals of the project and fill in the blanks

  • You are a fast learner and can quickly familiarize yourself with new tools and processes. You aren’t afraid to tackle any part of the stack or learn a new unfamiliar technology. You are comfortable with the fact that working in a startup means if you don’t do the work then it just won’t get done

  • You have a strong understanding of how you can create the most impact, and don’t get lost in the weeds in details that don’t matter. You’re excited to work on whatever solves the biggest customer problems, not just whatever is most comfortable for you

  • You can collaborate effectively with other talented employees and work well in an environment where the best ideas win. You should expect your ideas to get challenged and to learn a lot from your coworkers
