The role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Account Executive to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position focused on managing the Northern California territory. You will play a vital role in driving revenue and building lasting partnerships within clinical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology markets.
Core responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by actively pursuing new business opportunities and managing existing customer accounts for our instrumentation and reagent portfolios.
- Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders, including pathologists, lab managers, and procurement teams, to ensure successful instrument placements.
- Utilize CRM and business intelligence tools to analyze market trends, track territory performance, and execute strategic sales plans effectively.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in sales and the biotechnology industry. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree paired with three to five years of relevant sales experience.
- Proficiency in Salesforce for CRM management and Tableau for business intelligence analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of technical areas such as molecular biology, cytogenetics, or FISH techniques.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to travel 80% to 90% of the time.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation and benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $135,000, plus commission. We support our team members with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
