The opportunity
We are seeking a senior-level Account Executive to lead our sales efforts for Kraken across Japan. Reporting to our Global VP of Sales and the Head of Sales for APAC, you will serve as a key expert on our Kraken Technologies and KrakenFlex platforms. This role is about more than just selling software. You will be the face of our mission in a new market, building and leading a dedicated sales team while collaborating closely with our global marketing and development offices in London, Tokyo, and the US to accelerate the adoption of advanced energy technology.
A day in the life
- Drive revenue growth and expand our client base by developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the Japanese market.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine our product messaging, ensuring our value proposition clearly communicates the power and flexibility of the Kraken platform.
- Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by analyzing the energy industry and competitive landscape to position our solutions as the clear leader for utility transformation.
Who you are
You are an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of closing complex enterprise software deals. You possess the strategic mindset to navigate high-level negotiations and the interpersonal skills to thrive in a global, collaborative environment. Because you will be working across borders, you must be native or bilingual in Japanese and fluent in English. You are comfortable with domestic and international travel, and while not strictly required, a deep network of energy industry contacts in Japan and prior experience in the energy-tech sector would make you an exceptional fit for this team.
