Accelecom is looking for a dedicated Account Director to join our team and lead our sales efforts within the Georgia State Government and Education (SLED) sector. We are a company committed to solving complex business challenges through a consultative approach, and we pride ourselves on delivering superior service to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while also nurturing and expanding our existing accounts across the state. You will work closely with local governments, educational institutions, and libraries to craft unique, effective solutions that meet their specific needs.
Key outcomes
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market and account plans tailored to the SLED vertical.
- Create and implement customer contact strategies to build lasting professional relationships.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities while effectively managing upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
- Maintain deep expertise in our service offerings, including transport solutions like dark fiber and ethernet, IP transit, managed services such as SD-WAN and firewalls, and voice solutions like UCaaS and CCaaS.
- Consistently meet and exceed annual sales quotas through proactive engagement and strategic problem-solving.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional sales experience, ideally with a hunter mindset focused on opening new markets.
- Strong analytical and technical capabilities, paired with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in an agile, startup-style environment where you can navigate ambiguity effectively.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple deliverables and meeting strict deadlines.
- Solid financial acumen and the ability to collaborate across teams to secure orders.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience selling specifically within the Georgia SLED vertical.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecom, data center, or IT sales.
- Direct experience selling into K-12 systems, public and private universities, technical colleges, libraries, or local government entities.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as BANT, TAS, or the Challenger Sale.
- Proficiency using Salesforce and the Microsoft Suite.
Compensation
We provide a competitive compensation and benefits package. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, though occasional travel is required to support client meetings.
