Accessories Project Engineer – Electronics and Tech at Re:Build Manufacturing

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Accessories Project Engineer – Electronics and Tech to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior individual contributor position where you will play a pivotal role in bringing physical products to life, specifically focusing on audio, lighting, and electrical categories. You will report directly to the Head of Accessories Product Management and help define the technical foundation for our growing organization.

What will you do?

• Drive the development of innovative, customer-centric accessories by managing technical, cost, quality, and mass targets from initial design through to final release.
• Lead all testing and validation activities for your accessory group to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, supply partners, and vendors to integrate accessory systems with our base vehicles while continuously improving our internal product development processes.

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, with a Master’s degree being a plus.
• Over 8 years of experience developing connected electronic devices, such as audio or lighting systems, ideally within the marine, powersports, or consumer product industries.
• Proficiency in CAD design and release, along with a working knowledge of communication protocols like CAN, BTE, or 5G.
• Expertise in applying industry standards such as ISO, FCC, UL, and FMVSS.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to serve as a brand ambassador for Re:Car dba SLATE.
• Fluency in English.
