Access Software Engineer at Cloudflare

The role

We are seeking a Senior Access Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Austin, Texas and operates in a hybrid work environment. You will play a critical part in developing Access, our Zero Trust platform that secures both self-hosted and SaaS applications. You will work alongside a global, supportive team of engineers who are deeply dedicated to their craft.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance edge network services that aggregate identity sources and enforce security rules.
• Build and contribute to the control plane APIs that manage the configuration of our edge services.
• Collaborate with a global engineering team to design and deploy secure, scalable systems across our network.

Skills and experience

We are looking for individuals who are curious, empathetic, and eager to grow. You should have a strong foundation in engineering and a passion for building secure systems.

• Proven programming experience using Go and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• A solid understanding of software security principles and encryption.
• Experience designing and implementing highly available, distributed systems.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Rust, Kubernetes, Postgres, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, and React.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
