The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in China. This role focuses on our server-side ad insertion systems, which are the foundation of our monetization strategy. You will be responsible for scaling our distributed systems to handle massive concurrent traffic while maintaining high reliability and low latency. We need someone who is passionate about innovation and dedicated to providing a seamless viewing experience for our users.
Core responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reliable, and scalable distributed systems using Elixir.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the seamless integration of system components.
- Mentor other engineers on system design and coding practices, perform code reviews, and proactively diagnose and resolve production issues.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or higher, with at least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in Elixir, Erlang, and OTP, or a strong willingness to master these technologies.
- Proven experience in building distributed systems, microservices, and containerization.
- Proficiency with database technologies, specifically PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate fluently in both Chinese and English.
