Our platform is dedicated to making entertainment accessible to everyone, offering a vast library of over 50,000 movies and television shows, along with hundreds of live news and sports channels. We partner with every major Hollywood studio to provide a free, seamless viewing experience for our diverse global audience. As we continue to grow, we are looking for creative and motivated individuals to help us shape the future of streaming. We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in China to work on our advertising and video streaming infrastructure.

Key outcomes

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reliable, and scalable distributed systems.
• Develop and support our Elixir-based infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate various system components seamlessly.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets our high engineering standards.
• Provide technical mentorship to other engineers regarding system design and coding practices.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and offer constructive feedback to elevate team output.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues to ensure continuous service availability.
• Stay current with the latest developments in Elixir and related technologies to help define our internal best practices and standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Elixir, Erlang, and OTP, though we welcome applicants who are eager to learn these technologies.
• Proven experience in designing and developing large-scale, high-reliability distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and containerization.
• Practical experience with database technologies, specifically PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a collaborative environment.
• The ability to work independently and succeed in a distributed team setting.
• Fluency in both English and Chinese.
