The Work
We are seeking a Senior Programmatic Specialist to lead our programmatic and direct advertising initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in strategy and planning and directly manage programmatic, private, preferred, and guaranteed media buys across premium video, audio, and display channels to enhance brand awareness and consideration among EQ Bank audiences.

The Core Responsibilities!
  • Create and implement comprehensive programmatic advertising strategies aligned with marketing goals. 
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of programmatic campaigns across various channels (video, display, audio, etc.)
  • Manage buys and make optimizations across various DSPs (ex. DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon Ads, etc.) 
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring efficient allocation and maximizing ROI across campaigns. 
  • Identify key first, second and third-party audiences across each platform (DSP) and channel and optimizing bids, budgets and targeting accordingly based on audience performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with DSPs, publishers, partners and ad networks to ensure access to premium inventory.
  • Monitor campaign performance, generate reports (weekly, monthly and ad-hoc) to assess effectiveness and inform current optimizations and future strategy.


  • Let's Talk About You!
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 years of experience in self-managing programmatic/private/preferred/guaranteed buys through DSPs. 
  • Experience with negotiating PG publisher buys (ex. Bell, Rogers, Corus, etc.) 
  • Post-secondary degree in business, communications, marketing or similar field.  
  • Experience managing multiple Demand-Side Platforms DSPs preferred (ex. DV360, The Trade Desk, Xandr, StackAdapt, Adobe Advertising Cloud, Amazon Ads, etc.) 
  • Experience managing and optimizing multi-channel programmatic campaigns across video, display, and audio formats.
  • Experience in paid social / paid search / affiliate marketing is preferred. 
  • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail, curiosity and appetite for testing and driving performance is crucial. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Financial service industry experience is an asset. 
  • Agency experience is an asset.
