Agot is a Pittsburgh-based artificial intelligence startup focused on transforming the future of work through advanced camera technology. Our product, Agot Retina, provides real-time labor support, training, and error correction for large restaurant chains to help them reduce waste and improve efficiency. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our remote team and help us scale our impact.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain robust server-side logic while managing central databases to ensure high performance for our edge devices and user interfaces.
Improve our internal video labeling tool, which is built using JavaScript.
Write clean, efficient, and highly testable code.
Connect front-end components and data streams from our computer vision systems into a unified, functional architecture.
Design database schemas that effectively support our core business operations.
Develop and implement comprehensive automated testing and unit tests to maintain code quality.

Must-haves

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
At least 3 years of professional experience working as a Backend Engineer.
Expertise in Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
A solid grasp of user authentication and authorization across complex, multi-system environments.
Experience with design principles for building scalable applications.
Strong debugging capabilities and a background in unit testing.
Proficiency with the Linux command line and standard utilities.
Hands-on experience using Git and GitLab.
Fluent communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

Practical experience working with Cloud Computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
